Welcome to Hope Lea

More than a day centre – it’s a community.

Every weekday, adults with mild to medium learning disabilities come together at Hope Lea to enjoy activities, learn new skills and spend time with friends. Many have been coming for 20 or 30 years, and the friendships they’ve built are at the heart of everything we do.

For many of the people we support, Hope Lea is the one place they go outside of home – somewhere they’re known, welcome and part of something.

  • A safe, supportive and inclusive environment
  • Independence, wellbeing and personal choice
  • Real connections with our local community
What we do

Something to look forward to, every day

Our days are relaxed and friendly, with plenty to get stuck into – and always the choice to simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Part of the community

We make sure the people we support feel a real part of their community – and that the community feels part of Hope Lea.

Hope Lea hosts its own events through the year. The people we support make things to sell, giving them a real sense of pride – they’ve contributed directly to our fundraising.

Summer Fayre

Our summer get-together, with things made by the people we support.

Bonfire Night

An evening event to enjoy with friends.

Christmas event

Festive fun to round off the year.
